Welcome again

to Germany and to the German Tasar Fleet
Deutsche Tasar Flotte

Germany ist situated in the Centre of Europe between the Alpes and the Baltic Sea.
Two ppm of the approx. 80 millions inhabitants are supposed Tasarians, but only 27 Tasars have been recovered.

As younger sister to the Dutch fleet TCN, the DeTaF is part of TCE, the Tasar Continental Europe district. The DeTaF has been build as home for all German speaking Tasar sailors in the world and as basis for future fleets in the neighbour-countries Switzerland and Austria.

Unfortunately for you, our homepage has to be written in German, because it is the only language my mother told me some decades ago, and my English teachers did not achieve the same success. German is a pretty easy language what is proven by all the little kids speaking German from their early days on.
But for those of you who might be not very familiar with this language, and only for your chance to laugh at ugly foreigner's English, these lines are published in this website. And if you like them and if you have some spare time, please do us the favour and mail your comments to your humble editor whose cerebral countenance you can admire in the Editorial. (on all pages, a click on upper left "Willkommen" will make you return to the start page).

The 2D Burgee

For a couple of pages, you will not need German language knowledge, such as:

the sailing areas of our Tasars in Tasar Flotte

that specific part of the "better sailing" lessons where some apparent faults are pointed out using sailing pictures

our large collection of Tasar pictures from all around the world, incl X-versions of spinnakers

a few recommendations on asseccories

It goes without saying that it is not forbidden to surf through the other pages either - there might be enough self-explaining pictures...

my "Letters from Germany" to TAUK Newsletters in 1994 - written in my very own "Funny English"

2. How to come up to a Tasar...    Page 2
3. How to get along with a Tasar...    Page 2
4. How to have fun with a Tasar...    Page 2        plus a later Warning  containing a not unimportant safety tip.

Important remark: Oliver did not say "comical continental", as less distinguished critics may do  - many thanks to you and your sensitivity, Oliver!

Remember, remember
the start of September
and the poor, lonely Tasar colonists of the German Tasar Fleet!
